Joe Daigle

My name is Joseph Daigle. At a young age I was Introduced to the Tomorrow Fund at Hasbro Children's Hospital. They are a non profit organization in RI that provides financial and emotional support to the families of children battling cancer. When I was 9 years old I was diagnosed with Ewings Sarcoma. My mom was a single parent of three boys. Having to take care of me made it so she could not work. The Tomorrow Fund helped my mom pay bills during my care. When I was 16 years old we learned the cancer had spread to my lungs and again the Tomorrow Fund was there to help my family. As a result to all the chemotherapy and radiation I developed leukemia in 2009. I had just moved into my own apartment with my fiancé and I was going to college. Again, The Tomorrow Fund stepped in helping me with rent, car payments and support for my fiancé as she watched me battle for my life. After a Bone Marrow Transplant I was in complete remission. We got married and started a family. In August 2017 with a 1 year old and a baby on the way the cancer struck again. This is the biggest battle yet. I was diagnosed with stage 4 Renal cancer with metastatic disease in my bones. I under went a major surgery to remove my left kidney and over a foot of my large intestine. However this time being 30 years old I was not able to be treated by the Tomorrow Fund clinic because I aged out. Even though I did not get treated there they set me and my family up with other lines of communication and funds to help us during this journey. I have personally made it a life goal to always give back to this wonderful organization. If I can help one family by my contribution then I will be happy. Please help me support such an amazing organization.
